Leveraging Media5’s family of award-winning VoIP Gateways, the LP Series offers enhanced performance for demanding VoIP deployments

Sherbrooke, QUEBEC, October 06, 2010 – Media5 Corporation, a leading developer of advanced Communications over IP products solutions, today announced the release of the Mediatrix LP Series, a robust and reliable series of VoIP Gateways for performance in more demanding telephony wiring conditions, including PSTN Replacement projects.

With the LP Series Service Providers will be able to reach wider areas while reducing the number of CPE’s (customer premise equipment) needed to be installed. Large Buildings, Campus, Small Villages can now be fully deployed using only one SIP Gateway.

LP Series protects Service Providers SIP Gateway investment by offering reliable connections with internal surge protection against overvoltage on hard telephony lines, reducing electrical failures and potential RMA due to deteriorated cable infrastructure.
The Mediatrix LP Series are currently under certification process with Standard ITU-T K.21 for equipment installed in customer premises

Built upon the industry-proven, widely-deployed 4100 Series, the LP Series additionally delivers a powerful VoIP Gateway solution:

  • Secondary (Telco) over-voltage surge protection added
  • 2 Km+ Long Loop Support: 750 ohms max impedance, 25 mA max loop current
  • Increased (60 Vrms) Ringing Voltage: Ensures 45 Vrms at 2 km loop distance
  • Up to 24 x RJ11: New connectors as an alternative to patch panel & Telco cable adapter
