The Mediatrix iPBX offers new possibilities for IP telephony Service Providers.

Sherbrooke, QUEBEC, February 17, 2011 – Media5 Corporation, a leading developer of advanced Communications over IP products & solutions, today announced the availability of the Mediatrix iPBX Series. Designed for small- businesses and Service Providers, the Mediatrix iPBX is a fully-featured integrated solution that can be implemented as a complete replacement for a current PBX system.

The Mediatrix iPBX Series firmware is based on the Asterisk® Open-source application. It can provide companies with the efficiency and benefits of VoIP solutions, including reduced costs for local and long-distance phone service, for a low per-user fee, and without incurring capital expenditures for a stand-alone IP-PBX.

With a friendly Web GUI, customized factory settings, and personalized assistance to assure smooth integration within existing networks, Service Providers can easily incorporate the Mediatrix iPBX Series into their portfolio.

Built on Media5’s proven 4100 series platform, the Mediatrix iPBX eliminates the need to purchase and maintain seperate IP-PBX and VoIP equipment. It provides users with a large suite of productivity-enhancing features like Voice Mail, IVRs, Conference Bridge, Call Detail Reports, and many others.

Service Providers can offer on-premise telephony services to Enterprises, including voice mail, IVR and supplementary features; transparent integration for analog devices: phones, faxes & modems, point of sale terminals; and registration of up to 25 SIP endpoints.

The Mediatrix iPBX is available initially on the Mediatrix 4108 platform, providing 8 FXS ports for connecting analog phones, faxes or modems.
